About Flávia
Flávia is a psychoanalyst and registered psychologist in Australia. She provides sessions in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, and is the co-founder of the Lalangue Institute.
She works with children, adolescents, and adults, drawing on her experience across the public and private sectors in France, including psychiatric hospitals, somatic hospitals, and organisations supporting children with autism. In Australia, she practices privately with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, with a special interest in psychosis, migration, and the relational dynamics between children and their carers.
Flávia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychoanalysis from Aix-Marseille University (France), and continues ongoing training in lacanian psychoanalysis and areas such as perinatal mental health, group therapy, psychoanalytical psychodrama, psychosis and early intervention.
Along side with her clinical work, she is actively involved in social and community work, leading projects through the Lalangue Institute and CASA Lalangue. She is also a committee member of the Portuguese Welfare Council (NFP) and hosts the podcast DesConstruir, which explores parenting myths and related questions.
