About Us
Founded in Sydney in 2022, Lalangue Institute was established by two dedicated mental health professionals, Flávia de Carvalho and Francielli Angelotti. Both psychoanalysts, they share a desire to understand and listen to people’s unique narratives with care and ethic. The name Lalangue comes from a concept in psychoanalysis introduced by French psychiatrist Jacques Lacan, highlighting the intricate connection between language, the body, and subjectivity.

Our Mission

We offer specialised mental health care grounded in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Our work is rooted in psychoanalytic principles, while also drawing from broader psychological and counselling approaches to support a wide range of mental health challenges.

Guided in ethics, collaborative reflection, and continuous learning, we remain attuned to the modern world.

Attentive listening is at the heart of what we do, aiming to alleviate suffering and promote wellbeing. Our experienced team works with complex cases and provides thoughtful, collaborative care within a trusted network. Guided by ethics, reflection, and continuous learning.
Our Vision

Cultural sensitivity, social equity, and ethics guide our work. We expand access to psychoanalysis and mental health through clinical services, study, dialogue, and community engagement.

Alongside our clinical services, Lalangue Institute develops and engages in volunteer-based projects that support community mental health, with a special focus on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. These initiatives create inclusive spaces for expression, connection, and psychological support.
